All activities of the Ice Diving Expedition are planned for self-sufficient and experienced participants.

The famous Baikal ice dunes, feathers, icebergs, grottoes, tunnels, cracks, canyons, but what is there! - whole ice underwater cities! Transparent meter ice through which you can read a book. Tons of ice moving before our eyes. Vertical 10-meter blocks of ice. It's underwater. And on the surface there is a hot bath, 20-meter splashes and sokui, ice grottoes and caves, hundreds of kilometers of ice space, sacred places of power and idols of shamanism. Delicious sugudai, smoked fish and delicious poses! This is Planet Baikal! This is an Ice Diving Expedition!

Approximate daily schedule*

Breakfast at the hotel. Packing and loading.
Driving onto the ice. Search for newly formed cracks. Determine dive site.
Ice camp deployment. Prepare ice hole.
Dive
Lunch on the ice
Move to the next accommodation or return to the hotel. Along the way, we'll explore the land-based attractions. We'll visit ice caves or stroll along the picturesque shore.
Arrival at the hotel. Dinner. Free time.

(*Departure from the hotel: 8:00-8:30 AM, return to the hotel: 7:00-8:00 PM. Daily travel distances are 100-300 km off-road. Standard speed: 35-45 km/h. A one-way trip will take between 2 and 6 hours.)

Ice Diving Expedition with nerpa dives * is possible only in the first half of April and only for extra small groups. All activities of the Ice Diving Expedition are planned for self-sufficient and experienced participants.

Season: April 1-15
Location: southern (Listvyanka) and northern Baikal (Ust-Barguzin).
Duration of the program: 7 days.

Expedition schedule:
Day 1. Transfer from Irkutsk to the base (Listvyanka village (70 km) or Ust-Barguzin village (700 km). Transportation of expedition equipment.
Day 2 - Day 6. Daily trips to the ice. Observation of the seal on the surface. Accurate determination of the dive site, based on the ice conditions, as well as the actual presence of a seal. Preparation of the site for diving. 1 dive in the area of the seal house. With an 8-day program - 2 dives in the area of the nerpa house. On other days - diving on ice cracks and hummocks.
Day 7. Transfer to Irkutsk
